Acer has achieved better-than-expected results during the Taiwan Computer Application Show (TCAS) 2015 in Taipei, recording a sales growth of 40% compared to 2014. The results may give the firm a chance to achieve sequential revenue growth of 30% in the Taiwan market in the third quarter.

The company said it sold nearly a 1,000 Windows 10 notebooks during the show with Core i5-based models accounting for 60% of the volume. The company's high-end multimedia flagship model, the V-Nitro, also achieved good sales during the show and accounted for over 20% of its overall sales.

During the show, Acer's Aspire E5-573G-51N3, equipped with Intel's Core i5-5200U processor, Nvidia's GeForce 940M-2G and Windows 10, and priced at NT$28,900 (US$912), achieved strong sales, while its Aspire TC705 desktop also equipped with Windows 10 also received strong inquiries.

As for monitors, Acer's XR341CK, 22-inch G-series models and 24-inch 144Hz/1ms gaming monitor also enjoyed good sales, Acer claimed.
